Stanley kindly sat for some portraits and I spoke to him about his illustrious career - from working for the New Yorker magazine to being commissioned by Andy Burnham for the Makerfield by-election campaign he has drawn hundreds of celebrities and popular figures and his work can be seen all over Manchester.
